3D CAD Designer Needed for Consumer Personal Care Product — Manufacturing-Ready STEP Files ABOUT THE PROJECT We're a US-based startup developing a small consumer personal care product. We have a complete written specification, hand sketches, and engineering input from prospective overseas manufacturers. We need a 3D CAD designer to translate this into clean, manufacturing-ready STEP files we can hand off to factories for tooling and sample production. The product is patent-pending. Full design details will be shared under NDA after engagement begins. WHAT WE NEED 1. 3D model of a small molded silicone component (STEP / .STP format) — primary deliverable 2. 3D model of a soft foam outer shell with matching internal cavity (STEP / .STP) 3. 2D technical drawings with full dimensions and tolerances (PDF) for both components 4. Native source files (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, etc.) for future revisions KEY REQUIREMENTS - Files must be manufacturing-ready — appropriate for silicone injection molding and foam molding - Tolerances, draft angles, and wall thicknesses appropriate to the manufacturing methods - Design must consider a bonded interface between the foam and silicone components - Files must open cleanly in standard CAD software for factory review EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Strong portfolio of consumer product CAD work - Solid understanding of injection molding, especially silicone - Familiarity with foam molding is a plus - Beauty / cosmetic / personal care product experience is a plus - Clear English communication (files will be reviewed by overseas factories) WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE FROM US (under NDA) - Detailed written product specification - Reference figures showing the product from multiple angles - Engineering input we've already gathered from prospective factories - Direct access for questions throughout the project TIMELINE 2-4 weeks from project start to final files.
