As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $13, with the flexibility to choose your own schedule within the client's hours of operation.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering inbound calls from individuals seeking assistance with public benefit programs enrollment
  • Interacting with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner, providing information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws
  • Assisting customers with program enrollment, routing them to the appropriate contacts via three-way calls to ensure a smooth call transfer
  • Providing assistance with communication needs, including relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments, translation services for callers who don't speak English, and more
  • Placing outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers
  • Using multiple computer systems to access data and document information

About You

To succeed as a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you should have:

  • At least one year of customer service experience, with a strong background in providing empathetic and patient support to individuals in need
  • Knowledge of public benefit programs and prior experience in a health or human services setting is highly desirable, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and respond to customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills, with the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable programs, policies, and procedures

Your Home Office Environment

To ensure a productive and efficient work environment, you'll need:

  • A computer meeting the following criteria:

+ Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 + Memory: 8GB of RAM + CPUs (Speed

  • Processors): 6

+ Hard Drive: At least 500MB of free space + Sound: sound card (standard on most computers) + Up-to-date antivirus software + Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please) + Dual monitors + A USB noise-cancelling headset + A webcam for your certification experience

Where arenaflex Contracts

arenaflex contracts with people in 31 states, excluding AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and WI. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.

Flexible Hours of Operation

As a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don't, within the client's hours of operation. Hours of operation are:

  • Monday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
  • Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET
  • Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 01:00 PM ET
  • Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET

This opportunity is perfect for someone seeking roughly 10-15 hours per week so they can easily schedule around other commitments!

Pay and Perks

This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. Your remote, independent contractor status allows you to work in the comfort of your own home - or anywhere in the US you can meet the office requirements.
