Department Overview The Medical Staff Office at Hillsboro Medical Center supports safe, high-quality patient care through effective credentialing, privileging, and medical staff administration. The Supervisor of the Medical Staff Office ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and delegated credentialing standards while providing oversight of credentialing activities. The team works closely with the Chief Medical Officer, Director of the Medical Affairs Program, service chiefs, and the OHSU Medical Affairs Program to support medical staff governance, committee functions, audit readiness, and credentialing system integrity. The Supervisor of the Medical Staff Office at Hillsboro Medical Center provides leadership and oversight for the credentialing and medical staff support functions at the hospital. The position ensures that credentialing, privileging, and medical staff administrative processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and delegated credentialing requirements. The supervisor oversees the work of the Credentialing Coordinators, collaborates closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of the Medical Affairs Program, and maintains strong communication with departmental administrators and service chiefs. This role is responsible for Credentialing Coordinator supervision and coaching, workload management, training, and GROW performance evaluation. It also supports medical staff committees and meetings, oversees health plan audit needs, partners with the OHSU Medical Affairs Program, and ensures the credentialing database meets organizational needs. Function/Duties of Position Operational Leadership and Staff Supervision Supervise daily operations of the Medical Staff Office, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of credentialing activities. Provide coaching, counseling, and performance feedback, complete GROW performance appraisals. Assign and adjust workload to meet operational needs. Maintain desk procedures and conduct training in data entry, follow-up, and reporting. Participate in hiring and disciplinary processes. Credentialing, Privileging & Database Management Support the design, documentation, and coordination of credentialing and privileging processes, including temporary privileges. Maintain and optimize use of the Credential Stream credentialing database. Provide oversight and administration of database for OPPE and FPPE documentation incorporating credentialing coordinators into all related processes. Medical Staff Meeting and Committee Support Coordinate and provide administrative support for medical staff meetings as assigned by the Director of the Medical Staff Office. Assist medical staff leaders with correspondence, documentation, and resources. other Duties as Assigned

Required Qualifications

High school diploma In lieu of educational requirements, previous work history and years of experience may be considered. 5 – 14 years of experience in the medical services field. Working knowledge of credentialing database platform. Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospital or business administration Working knowledge of Credential Stream database. Previous medical staff office supervisory experience. CPCS or CPMSM certification Additional Details Works remotely but may have to travel by personal car to HMC or other local sites as needed.
