Location: RemoteDuration: 1-month full-time contract (potential to extend) About Within Within is a faith-based app designed to help people memorize Scripture and deeply understand its context. We're preparing for launch and looking for a UX designer to refine and elevate the experience before we scale. The Role We're hiring a UX designer for a focused, 1-month full-time engagement to audit and optimize our existing product. The core experience is already built — your role is to identify friction, improve flows, and elevate usability so users stay engaged and build lasting habits. This is not a blank-slate design role — it's about sharp iteration, clarity, and execution.
What You'll Do
Conduct a full UX audit of the current app (onboarding, core flows, retention loops) Identify friction points and prioritize high-impact improvements Redesign key flows (onboarding, verse memorization, daily engagement) Improve clarity, simplicity, and user motivation Create wireframes and polished UI updates where needed Work closely with founders in a fast, iterative loop Deliver implementation-ready designs and clear recommendations What We're Looking For 3+ years experience in UX/Product Design (mobile apps preferred) Strong portfolio showing product improvements, not just visuals Experience with consumer or habit-forming apps (strong plus) Ability to think in terms of activation, retention, and user motivation Fast, decisive, and able to ship quickly Comfortable working within an existing product Nice to Have Experience with faith-based or mission-driven products Understanding of behavioral design / habit loops Experience improving onboarding and conversion Success Looks LikeBy the end of the month: Onboarding is clear, compelling, and frictionless Core flows feel simple, intuitive, and engaging Users clearly understand what to do and why it matters We have a set of high-impact UX improvements shipped or ready to ship CompensationCompetitive (project-based or monthly rate) How to ApplySend: Portfolio (required) Short note: A product you improved and what changed Why this project interests you Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
