Requirements
PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in Clinical Research, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field Undergraduate degree from a US, UK, Canadian, or Western European institution Graduate degree from a top US, UK, Canadian, or Western European university Demonstrated expertise in clinical study design, experimental methodology, biochemical/chemical analysis, or translational research Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Designing advanced research problems in your domain Evaluating experimental frameworks Generating high-quality technical content Contributing 4–6 tasks per week, each taking several hours to complete Clinical Research Expert – Chemistry & Biology (Freelance Contract) Remote | Part-time | $70–$90/hr | Weekly pay via Stripe or Wise About the role Mercor is looking for PhD-level clinical research professionals in Chemistry and Biology to support a project with one of the world's leading AI labs. You'll be drawing on your subject matter expertise to create high-quality technical data that feeds directly into the development of large language models. The work is flexible, fully remote, and ongoing, with rolling applications open from February.

PhD (or equivalent) in Clinical Research, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field Undergraduate degree from a US, UK, Canadian, or Western European institution Graduate degree from a top US, UK, Canadian, or Western European university Hands-on expertise in clinical study design, experimental methodology, biochemical or chemical analysis, or translational research Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal English The basics Start date: February, rolling applications Hours: Flexible, based around 4–6 tasks per week Rate: $70–$90/hr Fully remote, on your own schedule as an independent contractor No access to confidential or proprietary third-party information is required Contract and payment terms Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise. Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on needs and performance. Please note: H-1B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported at this time.
