If this resonates, you belong at YouShift. The Role We’re looking for an AI Engineer to own and expand the AI agent layer of our platform. This is not a research role, but rather a product engineering one focused on turning real-world operational workflows into agentic, automated systems. You’ll design and implement AI-powered workflows that:
- Automate complex scheduling decisions and workflows across the full operational surface — rules, compliance, constraints, and edge cases that today demand significant manual effort from operators.
- Translate natural-language inputs into structured actions
- Detect anomalies and suggest corrective actions
- Assist operators in real-time
You’ll work closely with product and full-stack engineers to bring these systems into production, reliably and safely, in a high-stakes healthcare environment. What You’ll Do
- Design and implement agentic workflows inside a production SaaS platform.
- Develop guardrails evaluation and testing frameworks.
- Integrate agent capabilities into our TypeScript backend and operator-facing product, working with full-stack engineers.
- Own reliability in production — monitor, debug, and iterate on what breaks.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years building production software (or equivalent experience).
- Recent hands-on experience deploying AI agents or LLM-powered features to real users.
- Strong full-stack or backend engineering fundamentals
- Care about reliability, observability, and measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous 0→1 environments.
