The DDSI Information Designing (DE) Group
The DDSI Information Designing (DE) group is a critical component of our media business, responsible for developing and supporting data pipelines that power our content creation, distribution, and monetization. Our team of data engineers, scientists, and analysts work together to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that enable us to collect, process, and analyze large datasets in real-time.
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our DDSI Information Designing (DE) group. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting data pipelines that power our media business. This is a full-time remote position that offers a competitive salary of $27/hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain data pipelines that collect, process, and analyze large datasets in real-time
- Design and implement data warehouses and data marts to support business intelligence and analytics
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to develop and deploy data-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other programming languages
- Design and implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that support business objectives
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL, with a focus on cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks
- Experience with cloud design and deployment, with a focus on AWS
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality processes
- Experience with source control systems like GitLab and GitHub
- Experience with Docker and containerization
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data engineering principles
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
