Experienced Member Services Representative – Remote Customer Service

As a Member Services Representative, you will be at the forefront of providing top-notch customer service to arenaflex Credit Union members. Your role will involve:

• Completing daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
• Coordinating return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
• Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
• Working member cases/assignments and following established guidelines and procedures
• Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
• Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
• Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
• Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
• Completing daily balancing and department closing
• Obtaining information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
• Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
• Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
• Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
• Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-issued checks, processing member checks, verifying members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
• Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

All You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• A high school degree or equivalent
• Intermediate Excel and Word experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to self-motivate and work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous customer/member service experience

• Previous banking or Credit Union experience
• Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
