If this sounds like you, come join Space Force Analytics (SFA) and a team of scientists, engineers, and space system acquisition experts that are developing the next generation of remote sensing satellite and ground systems. You will work with SFA colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to acquire and develop Missile Warning/Defense, Weather, and Nuclear Detection Systems. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to the success of the programs that you support. Hybrid work from home and Los Angeles Air Force Base, with occasional travel to various contractor sites and U.S. Government installations. In this role, you will develop software & hardware plans and schedules for space and ground systems. You Have

  • 4+ years of experience with systems engineering or project management, schedule planning, and development efforts on Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware systems
  • 1+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and updating project-based schedules including critical paths, and comparing actual progress against the baseline
  • Experience developing, documenting, and executing a Lean-Agile process to establish and manage Integrated Master Schedules and technical baselines
  • Experience identifying scheduling risks or conflicts and implementing remediation and mitigation plans
  • Experience applying Critical Path Methodology (CPM) to identify dependencies, calculate float, and expose schedule risks.
  • Experience with scheduling tools, including MS Project, Milestones Professional, One Pager Pro, and Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint, and Excel
  • Ability to gather data from multiple sources and stakeholders across the program and display it in a useful manner for the customer
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers, and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Use your technical understanding to provide input to the Integrated Master Schedule

Nice if You Have

  • Experience performing systems engineering, program management, and schedule development activities on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baseline
  • Experience managing annual schedule activities for remote sensing sustainment programs, working with large amounts of data, and utilizing metrics to improve processes and ensure consistency and standardization across the organization
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
  • Knowledge of space systems and their corresponding design, development, manufacturing, integration and testing, deployment, operations, and decommissioning activities
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate, and concurrently manage several Program-level, Enterprise, and Integrated Master schedules
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering, Business, Mathematics, CS, Physics, or relevant field
