Travel Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Blue Springs, MO

As a valued Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic clinical environment, working alongside clinicians with varied backgrounds and leadership styles. Expanding your skills in this high-acuity setting will strengthen your resume, paving the way for additional roles in Telemetry, Progressive Care, or even Intensive Care, depending on your background. In your downtime, discover new restaurants, parks, and local events unique to Blue Springs and neighboring communities. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, 06:45-19:15
- Every other weekend required
- Some holiday coverage assigned
- No on-call requirements
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (TNCC required for ICU-experienced candidates)
- Minimum experience in Med/Surg Telemetry (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)
- Preferred: Progressive Care/Step-Down (Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, etc.) or ICU experience
- Prior experience with Altera Sunrise (Allscripts) helpful, but not required
- New graduates are not eligible
- Nicotine-free status required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in the Telemetry Float Pool, adapting quickly to changing patient needs
- Administer critical medications in line with telemetry and progressive care protocols
- Float to different units as needed based on skills—first to float policy
- Complete required orientation days and competency assessments
