Job Summary

As a Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for ensuring that client-assigned healthcare accounts are billed and paid accurately and timely. You will work closely with clients, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve customer inquiries, gather information, and provide timely resolutions. Key Responsibilities

* Medical Collections: Accurately and timely process medical collections, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Responding to Telephone Inquiries: Utilize standard procedures and scripts to respond to inbound and outbound telephone inquiries, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Gathering Information and Resolving Customer Inquiries: Gather information, perform research, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating Options for Resolution: Communicate appropriate options for resolution to customers, ensuring that their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Informing Customers/Patients about Services: Inform customers/patients about services available, assess their needs, and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Scheduling Work: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required.
  • Assisting in Planning and Implementing Department Goals: Assist in planning and implementing department goals, making recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

* Education and Experience: + High school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university. + Spanish fluency preferable. + Two to five years industry experience in medical revenue cycle management is required. + Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge needed. + Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle.

  • Skills and Competencies:

+ Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations. + Attention to detail. + Good attendance record. + Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values. + Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.

  • Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

+ Work environment is either remote or an office location. + The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone. + Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs. + Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stooping. + Must have current, valid driver's license or reliable transportation to commute to/from work.
