Insurance Analyst II

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Insurance Analyst II provides support to manage and mitigate the company's expose to general and/or professional liability claims in support of the assigned function(s). The incumbent is responsible for evaluating and resolving general insurance claims in conjunction with the company's contractual insurance obligations. The Insurance Analyst II assists in the identification and implementation processes of diverse insurance coverage for the assigned business unit(s). PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize applied knowledge of insurance in the facilitation of underwriting processes to support the assigned business unit(s); collaborating with cross-divisional teams as necessary to ensure data accuracy and integrity of compiled information. Maintain applicable database within the assigned function(s) in compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other regulatory requirements; assisting in the preparation and distribution of requested database reports. Review and resolve insurance claims on a routine basis to ensure the risk assessment(s) of the company is accurately reflected. Review and reconcile various invoices to ensure accurate payment on a routine basis. Conduct data analysis as requested; reporting results to management for review. Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to manage leases, agreements and other contracts for the assigned business unit(s); providing recommendations for change as necessary. May act as a liaison between cross-divisional teams and vendors to support the ongoing business needs of the assigned business unit(s) as required. Mentor other staff as applicable. Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor. Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree highly preferred EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 2 - 5 years' related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience. Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and email applications. Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask concurrent priorities in an organized manner. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
