Pearson is regularly featured on the Forbes list of Best Employers and is listed on both the London and New York stock exchanges (UK: PSON; NYSE: PSO) Quality Manager The Quality Manager will be responsible for supporting all aspects of quality supporting the implementation of Pearson’s BTEC programmes across Pakistan. Using their expensive experience of delivering and assessing BTEC qualifications, including Pearson Higher Nationals, and ensuring adherence to in country regulatory and Pearson’s quality standards and procedures, the Quality Manager will support the providers and other BTEC customers as required through clear expert guidance, utilising the support of the wider Pearson quality assessment teams and local team as required. The Quality Manager will help support capacity building in Pakistan across multiple institutions as required whilst proactively monitoring qualification delivery and assessment in centres to provide actionable feedback and improvement plans. The successful candidate will have detailed understanding of IBCC and HEC requirements, along with the requirements of Pearson to ensure the delivery of high-quality provision and outcomes for our Pearson vocational learner/ Key accountabilities and responsibilities: Administrative and Logistical Support Ensure that BTEC inquiries and requests for support for vocational centres and BTEC support staff are actioned. Distribute official correspondence, meeting notes, and follow-up action trackers for Pearson and related stakeholders. Manage the proper documentation and archiving of QA records, assessment reports, verification forms, and training outputs. Manage project data and performance evaluation, tracking progress, needs, outcomes, and verification records. Assist and support in any required administrative and logistical requirements Training, Capacity-Building, and Mentorship Support the training and upskilling BTEC staff when appropriate, ensuring knowledge transfer and follow-up support in partnership with the Pearson training team. Plan and support training sessions and capacity-building initiatives for centres, lecturers, and administrative staff. Provide mentoring on the learner recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the learners’ capabilities. Ensure that feedback is collected from teachers and learners through centre visits, surveys or interviews to inform quality improvements. Quality Assurance and Verification Support the review and validate documents such as assessment materials, teacher resources, centre resources, and internal verification (IV) documents for compliance with Pearson QA standards. Ensure that support is provided for the planning and organisation of assessments and programme delivery in coordination with the centres to meet regulatory requirements Pearson. Ensure that support is provided for the standard verification / external examination process, prepare required documentation and coordinate with stakeholders. Support centre compliance with Pearson QA standards and escalate issues as required. Monitoring, Field Visits, and Reporting Manage, plan and conduct visits as appropriate to identify areas for improvement, collect evidence, and highlight best practices. Manage and monitor the log of risks and issues Provide regular reports to Pearson on QA performance, assessments, and overall progress. Required experience: Degree or relevant vocational qualifications or extensive experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in education, vocational training, or programme support. Good understanding and knowledge of regularity requirements within Pakistan Experience in quality assurance, external examination, or assessment processes. BTEC / undergraduate delivery and assessment experience. Prior experience working with international organisations, TVET institutions is an advantage. Knowledge of Pearson BTEC or TVET frameworks in Pakistan is an advantage Prior experience of working with government departments in Pakistan is an advantage Required skills: Strong stakeholder skills. Strong organisational and coordination skills. Distinguished in English (written and verbal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Forging effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The post will require a high level of professionalism and integrity to assure the ongoing prescribed standard of all vocational qualifications and centres. The post will be outcomes driven and requires a high level of personal management and discipline.
