[Remote] Analyst

Zeughauser Group is a leading management consulting and M&A advisory firm in the legal industry, currently hiring a fully remote analyst. The role involves supporting strategy and M&A advisory engagements, producing research, financial analysis, and client-ready materials for firm leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Research and synthesize the competitive landscape for client engagements, including market positioning, practice area trends, and competitor intelligence
- Distill insights from client and attorney interviews into clear, actionable takeaways
- Analyze law firm financial statements and operational data, including revenue per lawyer, realization rates, and partner compensation structures, to develop recommendations for client leadership
- Build and maintain financial models supporting client strategy work
- Research and evaluate potential M&A targets and suitors against client-defined criteria
- Develop pro forma profiles of hypothetical law firm combinations, drawing on databases, macroeconomic data, and proprietary market intelligence developed in the role
- Provide ad hoc analysis to drive M&A progress in areas of importance to firms pursuing a transaction
Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop strategic insights and actionable takeaways based on analysis of financial statements, industry reports, and non-public data
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal collaboration and client-facing deliverables, including the ability to write concise takeaways that connect the dots between data points for senior leaders of our clients' firms
