Westat is a leader in research and data analysis, seeking a motivated individual for the role of Education Support Coordinator. This part-time position involves supporting a federally funded technical assistance center for state education agencies, focusing on improving workflow and agency operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create an updated and streamlined process for the office to use going forward related to correspondence requested and signed by the Commissioner
  • Organize and standardize signed correspondence to align to new process
  • Create written process documentation and materials to support TEA staff adoption of new processes
  • Propose internal communications approach to support TEA staff adoption

Skills

  • High School diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel)
  • Undergraduate level coursework in education, public policy, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive or official documents with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience with cataloging, filing, or inventory processes
  • Professional experience related to education, public affairs, or civic leadership
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar online project management tools
