Holtec International is a company focused on the growth of its global business portfolio, and they are seeking a Business Development Engineer. This role involves analyzing technical requirements, communicating complex information, and establishing relationships with clients in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development team by conveying technical and commercial information to potential clients, both verbally and in writing
  • Lead the entire proposal development lifecycle, including both technical and commercial content
  • Analyze RFPs to interpret client needs, assess technical requirements, and propose tailored solutions and win themes
  • Create structured outlines to ensure proposals are compliant and responsive
  • Coordinate internal assignments and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop proposal sections
  • Write and edit high-quality technical proposals that align with customer needs and expectations
  • Develop commercial proposals and spreadsheets to capture commercial and pricing information
  • Manage the post-proposal process by addressing clients’ needs through contract execution
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients in the energy industry
  • Continuously update knowledge of company products and industry trends through training and self-study

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 1 to 7 years of relevant experience in business development or engineering
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to clearly convey complex technical and commercial concepts
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently
  • Skilled in technical writing and document development
  • Proactive and accountable team player with a high standard for quality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 10%) for client meetings and industry events
  • Eligible for unescorted access to nuclear power plants
  • Experience in the nuclear or broader energy industry is a plus
