Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients receiving life‑sustaining specialty drug therapy, guiding them through the ordering process, addressing clinical and financial concerns, and ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic, phone‑based support to patients initiating or refilling specialty medication orders.
  • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and insurance coverage; resolve any discrepancies before order fulfillment.
  • Enter new prescriptions and refill requests accurately into the pharmacy information system.
  • Collect copay amounts, process authorizations, and coordinate with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, and internal teams to clear clinical or financial holds.
  • Communicate clearly with patients about medication instructions, delivery timelines, and any required documentation.
  • Maintain meticulous records of interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Identify trends in patient inquiries and collaborate with leadership to improve processes and patient education materials.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on specialty drug therapies, insurance regulations, and arenaflex’s evolving technology platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email communication.
  • Strong keyboarding skills with a demonstrated ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, compassionate manner.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months or more of experience specifically resolving high‑volume, complex customer needs via telephone.
  • Background in healthcare, pharmacy, or related fields, with familiarity in benefits, insurance processes, prescription terminology, and medical jargon.
  • Experience using pharmacy management software or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Additional certifications or coursework in healthcare, customer service, or related disciplines are a plus.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time remote position with core hours of Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM EST. Flexible scheduling options may be discussed for qualified candidates.
