The Data Engineer – Data Analytics position is the backbone of arenaflex’s data strategy. You will design, build, and operationalize robust data pipelines that transform raw, disparate sources into trusted, analytics‑ready assets. Key Responsibilities

• End‑to‑End Pipeline Development: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and enrich data from internal systems and external partners.
• Collaboration with Data Stakeholders: Partner with product owners, data modelers, and BI architects to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Cloud‑Native Data Solutions: Leverage arenaflex’s cloud platform (including arenaflex Data Lake, arenaflex SQL Data Warehouse, arenaflex Event Hub, and arenaflex Data Factory) to accelerate data delivery and reduce latency.
• Big Data & NoSQL Engineering: Build flexible data processing layers using distributed technologies to support high‑value analytics workloads.
• Automation & Process Optimization: Identify manual bottlenecks, automate repetitive tasks, and continuously improve data flow reliability, performance, and quality.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure data integrity and compliance with corporate governance standards.
• Technical Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear documentation, conduct peer reviews, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
• Cross‑Functional Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into understandable narratives for non‑technical audiences, both written and verbal.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience designing and operating data pipelines for large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency with arenaflex PowerCenter (or equivalent) and arenaflex IICS for ETL/ELT orchestration.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies such as arenaflex Data Lake Storage (ADLS), arenaflex Databricks, arenaflex SQL Data Warehouse, and arenaflex Event Hub.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts: data lake, data warehouse, NoSQL, graph databases, and schema‑on‑read vs. schema‑on‑write.
• Experience implementing data integration patterns, including event‑driven and message‑based architectures (e.g., Kafka, arenaflex Event Hub).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

• Professional certifications in arenaflex Cloud or related platforms.
• Programming expertise in Python, Scala, or Java for data‑centric development.
• Exposure to the retail industry and an understanding of its unique data challenges.
