Key Responsibilities

As an Actuarial Development Program Analyst at arenaflex, you will be immersed in diverse assignments across multiple functional areas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Risk Evaluation: Analyze specific risks facing the organization and provide detailed assessments to management. Understand the nature of healthcare risks and their financial implications.
  • Rate Filing: Organize and analyze filing data, prepare required documentation, and submit regulatory filings for approval. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Reserve Analysis: Examine claim data, evaluate reserve levels for adequacy, and demonstrate understanding of actuarial reserving methods and applicable issues.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Develop models to predict future trends and outcomes.
  • Pricing, Trend, and Benefits Design: Create and recommend pricing strategies and trends for new products or benefits. Work with product teams to develop competitive offerings.
  • Technical Development: Develop innovative technical solutions to various business challenges. Demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and web applications. Create and implement appropriate tools and models. Document business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Location: Willingness to relocate to Hartford, CT, or a designated actuarial hub
  • Commitment: Must be willing tocommit to the full program duration and pursue actuarial credentials
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

  • Internship Experience: Prior internship or work experience supporting actuarial functions within an organization or corporate setting
