Role Overview

We are looking for an Entry‑Level Remote Data Entry Analyst to join our Data Science – Product Internship program. This is a fully remote, paid opportunity (USD $25 per hour) designed for candidates who are eager to apply quantitative skills, learn data‑driven decision making, and contribute to high‑impact product initiatives. No prior professional experience is required; we value academic background, analytical curiosity, and a strong desire to grow within a data‑centric organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical analysis to generate business and product recommendations, including cost‑benefit assessments, investment‑divestment decisions, forecasting, and impact evaluations.
  • Extract, clean, and manipulate data from relational databases (SQL) and statistical packages such as R, SAS, Stata, or MATLAB to answer product‑focused questions.
  • Develop and automate recurring reports; prototype interactive dashboards that surface insights at scale for cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior data scientists to understand business needs, design analytical approaches, and deliver actionable findings.
  • Present analytical results clearly and persuasively to audiences ranging from technical peers to senior leadership, translating complex metrics into understandable business narratives.
  • Support arenaflex’s product teams in prioritizing feature development, optimizing user experience, and measuring the success of launched initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field).
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one statistical software package (R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and basic data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate product‑oriented questions, conduct exploratory analysis, and draw conclusions supported by data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a U.S. university program with availability to work full‑time for a 12‑week period outside of regular academic terms.
  • Experience translating analytical outcomes into concrete business recommendations.
  • Passion for metrics, measurement, and continuous improvement, coupled with a curiosity for emerging data‑science techniques.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and sound business judgment.
  • Prior exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to break down complex problems, identify patterns, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with statistical programming, SQL queries, and basic scripting (Python or R).
  • Communication: Clear articulation of findings, both in written reports and oral presentations.
  • Collaboration: Team‑oriented attitude, openness to feedback, and willingness to work across diverse functional groups.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment while managing multiple priorities.

Learning & Development Opportunities

During the 12‑week internship you will receive:

  • Mentorship from senior data scientists and product managers who will guide you through real projects and help you sharpen your analytical toolkit.
  • Access to arenaflex’s internal learning platform, featuring courses on advanced statistics, machine learning fundamentals, data visualization, and cloud‑based analytics.
  • Opportunities to attend virtual “Tech Talk” sessions, product demos, and cross‑team brainstorming workshops.
  • Feedback loops that focus on professional growth, helping you build a portfolio of deliverables you can showcase to future employers.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

This entry‑level, remote position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25 per hour. In addition to the base pay, you will be eligible for:

  • Performance‑based bonuses tied to project milestones.
  • Access to a comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits suite (available to full‑time hires after the internship period).
  • Flexible work hours and a fully remote setup, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Professional development stipend for conferences, certifications, or online courses.
  • Virtual social events, employee resource groups, and a supportive community that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
