Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that move terabytes of data from source systems into cloud‑based data warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Collaborate with Studio and Project Technology partners to gather data requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ensure data quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Build and optimize data models, schemas, and views that support reporting, analytics, and machine‑learning workloads.
- Implement robust data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks using tools like GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Apache Airflow (referred to as “Wind stream” in internal terminology).
- Manage data lake and data warehouse environments on AWS, including S3 storage, IAM policies, and cost‑optimization strategies.
- Drive best‑practice standards for data engineering, including code review processes, documentation, and version control using GitLab/GitHub.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge across teams, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
- Participate in cross‑functional agile ceremonies, providing technical insight during sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder demos.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with SQL, including complex query design, performance tuning, and data manipulation.
- At least 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in a production environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), specifically S3, IAM, and related services.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a data engineering role, with a track record of delivering reliable data solutions.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data transformation, and automation.
- Experience working with Docker containers and orchestrating deployments via GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow (Wind stream) for workflow orchestration and scheduling.
