Supervisor of Scheduling and Materials Planning

Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the production scheduling team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Schedule Management: Develop, implement, and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales orders, inventory levels, and resource availability. Resource Coordination: Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available as needed. Process Optimization: Analyze production schedules and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Monitoring and Adjustments: Track production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any issues, such as delays, equipment failures, or changes in demand. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on scheduling performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery rates and production efficiency. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues, working with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption to production. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Previous experience (4+ years) in production scheduling or a similar role, with at least 0-2 years in a leadership position. Strong knowledge of production scheduling techniques, inventory management, and resource planning.
