The Field CTO serves as Gravitee's most senior technical leader in the field, acting as a trusted advisor to enterprise executives, architects, product leaders, and technology teams. This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, product, and revenue. You will help shape enterprise architecture decisions, influence the direction of our platform, accelerate strategic opportunities, and establish Gravitee as a recognized thought leader across APIs, event-driven systems, AI governance, and agentic architectures. You will engage directly with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, AI leaders, and engineering executives to help them navigate complex modernization initiatives while demonstrating how Gravitee enables secure, scalable, and governed digital ecosystems. What You’ll Be Doing At Gravitee, impact isn’t abstract, it’s visible. In this role, you will: Executive Technical Leadership Serve as Gravitee's senior technical authority during strategic customer engagements. Advise CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and AI leaders on modernization strategies, platform architecture, and governance models. Participate in executive briefings, architecture reviews, workshops, and customer strategy sessions. Build credibility with technical and business stakeholders alike. AI & Agent Architecture Leadership Guide customers through the design and governance of enterprise AI initiatives. Advise on architectures involving AI agents, MCP servers, A2A protocols, LLM gateways, AI security, and agent governance. Develop reference architectures and best practices for enterprise AI adoption. Help customers operationalize AI safely through observability, access control, governance, and policy enforcement. API & Event Architecture Expertise Act as Gravitee's subject matter expert across API management, event-driven architecture, integration patterns, and distributed systems. Provide architectural guidance for hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-premise environments. Advise customers on modernization initiatives involving APIs, event streaming, asynchronous architectures, and platform engineering. Strategic Deal Engagement Support Gravitee's largest and most strategic opportunities and customers. Lead executive technical discussions and architecture reviews. Build confidence in Gravitee's technical vision and long-term roadmap. Assist sales and customer teams in navigating complex enterprise buying cycles. Thought Leadership & Market Presence Establish Gravitee as a recognized leader in APIs, event-driven architecture, AI governance, and agent management. Publish articles, whitepapers, technical blogs, videos, and architectural content. Speak at industry conferences, customer events, webinars, podcasts, and executive forums. Represent Gravitee within analyst discussions and industry communities. Product & Market Influence Gather market intelligence from customers, prospects, partners, and industry leaders. Provide structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering. Influence product strategy, roadmap priorities, and emerging technology investments. Help identify future market opportunities and competitive differentiators. Your impact will be visible, measurable, and global. Essential Skills 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, software architecture, platform engineering, API management, integration technologies, or related technical leadership roles. Deep expertise in API management, API security, API governance, and distributed systems. Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise integration and event-driven architectures. Demonstrated experience with AI architectures, including LLMs, AI agents, agent orchestration, MCP servers, AI gateways, and AI governance frameworks. Experience engaging directly with executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and engineering leadership. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and strategic customer engagements. Preferred Experience Experience with cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh technologies, and platform engineering practices. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, MCP, A2A protocols, and emerging AI standards. Prior experience at an API management, integration, observability, cloud infrastructure, security, or AI platform company. Existing presence within the developer, architecture, or AI communities through speaking engagements, publications, podcasts, or industry contributions. What Success Looks Like Within your first 12 months, you will: Become Gravitee's most trusted technical advisor for strategic enterprise accounts. Influence the successful closure of key enterprise opportunities. Establish Gravitee as a recognized voice in AI governance and agent management. Deliver thought leadership content that expands Gravitee's market visibility. Help shape the future direction of Gravitee's API, event, and AI platforms.
