Why This Role Matters

As an Entry-Level Data Entry & Process Improvement Engineer at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our production pipeline, ensuring that data flows smoothly across multiple disciplines. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of our art, design, and engineering teams, helping them deliver high‑quality games on schedule. This position is perfect for candidates who are passionate about solving workflow inefficiencies, love working with custom tools, and enjoy collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, document, and analyze workflow inefficiencies across art, design, engineering, and production pipelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary crews to generate candidate solutions, evaluate trade‑offs, and implement the most effective improvements.
  • Maintain, extend, and support arenaflex’s existing suite of proprietary tools and custom gear used daily by development teams.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom asset pipelines that streamline data ingestion, validation, and distribution.
  • Grow arenaflex’s internal libraries, tools, and technologies, ensuring they are reusable across multiple game engines and project types.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance to team members, helping them adopt new processes and tools with minimal disruption.
  • Develop clear documentation, training materials, and best‑practice guides to promote knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Participate in regular retrospectives and post‑mortems to continuously refine improvement methodologies.
  • Support the full lifecycle of tool development: from requirement gathering and prototyping to testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable language.

Essential Qualifications

  • Passion for empowering others: Demonstrated enthusiasm for helping teammates achieve their best work through clear communication and supportive tooling.
  • Strong interest in the full lifecycle of software and tool development, including problem identification, solution design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience or academic exposure to custom standalone tools and pipelines, preferably within a game development or interactive media context.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Python.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a self‑directed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for translating technical details into actionable insights for non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience with custom game engines or proprietary toolchains.
  • Familiarity with major game development platforms such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Exposure to web technologies including JavaScript and .NET frameworks.
  • Previous involvement in process‑improvement initiatives, lean methodologies, or continuous‑integration pipelines.
  • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex workflows, pinpoint bottlenecks, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with artists, designers, programmers, and producers to align technical solutions with creative goals.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong coding fundamentals, debugging skills, and a curiosity for learning new languages or frameworks.
  • Documentation & Training: Skill in creating clear, concise documentation and delivering effective training sessions.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proactive in seeking out inefficiencies and eager to experiment with innovative approaches.
