The Opportunity: Remote Customer Advocate Phone Specialist

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Customer Advocate Phone Specialist to join our remote team and serve as a vital point of contact for healthcare customers throughout Arizona. This full-time, fully remote position (within the state of Arizona) offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on people's lives every day by helping them navigate the complexities of healthcare services with clarity and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service via inbound phone support and written correspondence to healthcare customers across Arizona
  • Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer inquiries with accuracy and empathy
  • Provide clear explanations of complex healthcare topics including:
    • Contract benefits and coverage details
    • Changes in coverage and policy updates
    • Eligibility requirements and enrollment processes
    • Claims status, processing, and resolution
    • arenaflex wellness programs and resources
    • Provider networks and referrals
  • Document customer interactions and update records in multiple system applications
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to ensure comprehensive resolution of customer inquiries
  • Maintain current working knowledge of arenaflex systems, procedures, and healthcare regulations
  • Meet performance standards for quality, quantity, and timeliness of customer interactions

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare customer service, claims examination, medical office administration, call center operations, or a related healthcare field
  • Intermediate proficiency with computer systems and software applications
  • Arizona residency with the ability to work fully remote within the state
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
  • Strong active listening abilities to understand customer needs and concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all customer interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with healthcare insurance systems and terminology
  • Prior experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software

Competitive Compensation

  • Hourly rate of $20.00
  • Up to 12% annual bonus based on corporate goals and individual performance
