About arenaflex

arenaflex is a global leader in refreshing the world with beloved brands that are crafted responsibly for a sustainable future. With a heritage that spans more than a century, arenaflex combines iconic products with relentless innovation, delivering experiences that resonate across cultures and generations. Our North America Operating Unit (NAOU) drives growth by connecting brands deeply with local consumers while scaling globally. As a senior leader at arenaflex, you will shape the future of shopper marketing, digital commerce, and brand stewardship across a portfolio that reaches millions of households every day.

Why This Role Matters

The Senior Director, Customer Marketing & Stewardship is the central hub for integrating shopper‑centric strategies across arenaflex’s major retail partners. You will translate the NAOU’s brand vision into actionable omni‑channel programs, oversee retail media planning, and partner with key consumer packaged goods (CPG) collaborators to drive measurable performance. This role also leads high‑impact projects that modernize digital shelf processes and champion the next generation of retail media initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of shopper marketing for five major divisions of arenaflex USA, aligning the arenaflex blueprint with brand priorities to create cohesive omni‑channel experiences.
  • Digital & Retail Media Execution: Design, launch, and optimize retail media campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with digital shelf, e‑commerce, and in‑store activation.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross‑functional projects from the Frontline Marketing (FLM) organization, such as the digital shelf optimization initiative, coordinating efforts across shopper marketing, trade, and analytics teams.
  • Stewardship Narrative: Craft quarterly stewardship templates that communicate the holistic story of how NAOU builds loved brands sustainably within retail channels and bottler territories.
  • Performance Reporting: Produce summary content and performance updates for retail, marketing, and franchise partners, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Build strong relationships with retail partners, CPG collaborators, and internal stakeholders to drive joint value creation and shared growth objectives.
  • Financial Acumen: Own P&L responsibilities, revenue growth management, and financial forecasting to ensure initiatives meet or exceed profitability targets.
  • Thought Leadership: Advocate for the adoption of Retail Media 2.0 and Connected Commerce frameworks, positioning arenaflex as an industry pioneer.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, shopper insight, or commerce strategy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand health management and category management, with a track record of driving sales growth.
  • Deep understanding of omni‑channel business planning and retail media networks, including negotiation and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, strategic development, and ROI measurement.
  • Financial fluency – experience managing P&L, revenue growth management (RGM), and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience working with major grocery retailers and direct‑store‑delivery (DSD) or warehouse distribution models.
  • Hands‑on experience with digital shelf technology, retail media platforms, and connected commerce ecosystems.
  • Exceptional storytelling ability – translating complex data into compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
  • Advanced competency in brand architecture, positioning, and strategy development.
  • Proficiency in consumer segmentation, competitive assessments, and SWOT analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and media planning capabilities, with a history of securing favorable terms.
  • Leadership style that embraces curiosity, empowerment, inclusivity, and agility.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture while executing detailed plans.
  • Collaboration: Skilled at building partnerships across functions, retailers, and external agencies.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Comfortable with quantitative research, analytics tools, and performance dashboards.
  • Innovation Mindset: Eager to experiment with emerging retail media technologies and digital shelf concepts.
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive, and adaptable storytelling for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Leadership Presence: Ability to inspire teams, mentor emerging talent, and drive cultural change.

  • Access executive mentorship programs, leadership academies, and continuous learning platforms.
  • Participate in cross‑functional rotations that broaden your expertise across brand, trade, and digital domains.
  • Position yourself for future advancement to Vice President or General Manager roles within arenaflex’s expansive organization.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $175,000 – $201,000, commensurate with experience, geography, and expertise.
  • Annual Incentive: Target bonus of 30% of base salary, tied to performance against market‑based metrics.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, plus mental‑health resources.
  • Retirement Savings: Competitive 401(k) matching contributions.
