Why This Role Matters

In today’s data‑centric world, the ability to ingest, transform, and deliver reliable data at scale is a strategic advantage. As a Remote Data Entry & Junior Data Engineer, you will be the backbone of arenaflex’s data pipelines, ensuring that information from diverse sources is accurately captured, validated, and made ready for downstream analytics and AI‑powered applications. Your work will directly support critical business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and help deliver world‑class logistics services to millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development: Assist senior engineers in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines that move terabytes of information daily.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Perform thorough data profiling, anomaly detection, and root‑cause analysis to resolve L3‑level data issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between IT, business analysts, software developers, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Documentation & Best Practices: Contribute to reusable code libraries, design patterns, and documentation that enable rapid onboarding of new team members.
  • Support & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior staff, share knowledge, and help troubleshoot complex data problems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to existing pipelines, propose automation opportunities, and stay current with emerging data technologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

  • Hands‑on experience (or academic projects) with distributed computing frameworks such as arenaflex Databricks or similar.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., arenaflex SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, arenaflex Cosmos DB).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments and an eagerness to learn arenaflex services for data processing, storage, and orchestration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with streaming platforms such as arenaflex Event Hubs or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala; familiarity with PySpark is a plus.
  • Understanding of data formats (JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro) and experience building ingestion pipelines for both batch and real‑time data.
  • Exposure to container orchestration (e.g., arenaflex Kubernetes Service) and CI/CD pipelines using arenaflex DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code concepts using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Experience with analytics and visualization platforms such as arenaflex Platform (PowerBI, PowerApp, PowerAutomate) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving mindset, ability to work independently, and a passion for data quality.
