Position Overview

The Energy Services Data Entry Clerk (Typist) is a pivotal remote role that ensures the accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness of client information across multiple program databases. You will be the backbone of our digital record‑keeping system, supporting program staff, enhancing communication flow, and guaranteeing compliance with funder requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and verify client status records in the Statewide Client Service Center, ensuring data reflects the current production pipeline.
  • Monitor incoming emails, log documents, and capture communications in the arenaflex platform (formerly Monday.com) promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere to program guidelines for all required database systems, including arenaflex CMS, arenaflex eConservation, HEARTWAP, LIHEAP, In Demand, and related tools.
  • Maintain organized digital and paper participant files in strict accordance with agency policies and funder compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with program staff to streamline service delivery, improve communication consistency, and support outreach initiatives.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as filing, preparing mailings, providing phone coverage, and assisting with ad‑hoc projects.
  • Stay available for remote work responsibilities, including virtual meetings, conference calls, email correspondence, and regular task completion.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings, supervision sessions, training workshops, and contractual briefings.
  • Engage in mandatory agency training and pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skill sets.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards for all client and program information at all times.
  • Execute related duties as assigned to support the overall success of arenaflex’s Energy Services programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in human services, social work, or a comparable sector, working with diverse, low‑income individuals and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in typing with a high degree of accuracy (minimum 60 wpm) and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using cloud‑based collaboration tools and database management systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with team members.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving program requirements and technology platforms.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience, and vice‑versa, based on relevance.
  • Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish to better serve our multilingual client base.
