This position sits within the Payments and Automated Processing team of arenaflex’s Credit Services division. As a Remote Customer Service & Payments Operations Specialist, you will be the frontline guardian of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction across a broad spectrum of payment activities. You’ll work closely with internal partners, external vendors, and banking institutions to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, all while developing a deep understanding of the airline industry’s financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end processing of payment transactions, including ACH, credit card, and wire transfers, ensuring strict adherence to NACHA and banking regulations.
  • Coordinate return items with customers, vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other financial institutions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist multiple departments with reconciliation, part requests, and related accounting ledger adjustments.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with federal banking laws, NACHA rules, and internal policies, documenting all actions for audit readiness.
  • Process contract invoices, multi‑record and part invoices, FICO credit card statements, and a variety of financial tests such as IRA, fraud, and performance analyses.
  • Review, audit, and approve Remote Store, Mobile, ATM, and other image‑based transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Log, analyze, and post significant GL (General Ledger) entries, account adjustments, and potential refunds.
  • Execute Stop Payments and Check Batching procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations and month‑end close activities, ensuring all financial data is balanced and accurate.
  • Gather and validate data from customers to support accurate and timely processing of both domestic and international financial transfers.
  • Research and resolve inbound and outbound financial transfer inquiries, providing clear communication and resolution to merchants and customers.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current and upcoming financial transfer regulations, ensuring all processes remain compliant.
  • Store and retrieve transaction records, focusing on part‑return testing, draft changes, and verification of customer authorizations for financial movements.
  • Perform routine processing of work orders related to overdue returns, receipt issuance, foreign collections, and jail charges.
  • Safeguard the integrity and classification of all records and data, ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and related statutes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED; additional post‑secondary education is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 1‑2 years of customer service or part‑handling experience, preferably within banking, credit services, or airline finance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and familiarity with industry‑specific platforms such as Episys or Symitar.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of NACHA guidelines, Bank Secrecy Act, and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong numerical aptitude with the capacity to perform detailed financial calculations and data analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering superior customer service.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
