Join arenaflex as a Remote Data Entry Clerk & Excel Operations Specialist

Are you a meticulous, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment where accuracy is everything? Do you take pride in transforming raw information into clean, reliable data that drives critical business decisions? arenaflex is seeking a dedicated Remote Data Entry Clerk & Excel Operations Specialist to join our growing operations team, where your keyboard precision and analytical eye will directly contribute to the efficiency, integrity, and success of our organization.

In today's data-driven world, the backbone of every successful enterprise is accurate, well-organized information. At arenaflex, we understand that the quality of our data determines the quality of our decisions. That's why we're looking for a passionate individual who treats every keystroke as an opportunity to uphold excellence. If you're someone who finds satisfaction in achieving a perfect accuracy rate, who can maintain focus during extended periods of screen-based work, and who enjoys working independently while meeting tight deadlines, this is the role you've been waiting for.

About the Role

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk & Excel Operations Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting our operational goals by ensuring that data flows seamlessly and accurately through our processing systems. Your work will involve entering, verifying, and validating information from a variety of source documents, using both specialized processing software and Microsoft Excel as your primary tools. The data you handle will be sensitive in nature, often containing personal and confidential information, so a strong commitment to privacy, security, and compliance is essential.

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while being an integral part of a collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven team. You'll be empowered to work independently, manage your own schedule within agreed-upon deadlines, and take ownership of the quality of your output. The role is ideal for professionals who are self-motivated, disciplined, and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Entry: Enter data into arenaflex's processing systems using a standard keyboard, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times. You'll work with both alpha-numeric and numeric datasets, ensuring that every piece of information is captured correctly.
  • Document Verification: Verify data from scanned documents and source materials against onscreen records, cross-checking for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Make corrections as needed to maintain the integrity of our databases.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of entered data to identify discrepancies, errors, or anomalies. Flag issues for follow-up and apply corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Microsoft Excel Operations: Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, format, analyze, and report on data. This may include creating spreadsheets, using formulas and functions, sorting and filtering data, and generating summary reports that support business operations.
  • Confidential Information Handling: Process and manage Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other confidential data with the utmost discretion and care, in full compliance with arenaflex's data protection policies and applicable regulations.
  • Deadline Management: Complete assigned tasks within strict production deadlines while maintaining accuracy standards. Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Independent Work: Operate with a high degree of autonomy, staying focused and productive during extended periods of independent work. Proactively communicate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Use document capture and processing software (such as IBM Intelligent Forms Processing, Kofax Capture, OnBase, or similar platforms) to streamline data entry workflows and improve efficiency.

Special Requirement: Typing Speed

To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to alpha-numeric key a minimum of 45 words per minute with no errors. The most qualified applicants who progress through the interview stage will be required to complete a typing test to verify this essential skill. If you have a passion for typing and a track record of speed combined with accuracy, you'll excel in this position.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, all candidates must have experience in each of the following areas:

  • Data Entry Experience: Demonstrated experience entering data into a computer system, whether through previous employment, volunteer work, or other professional settings.
  • Confidential Information Handling: Experience entering or verifying confidential or Personal Identifiable Information (PII), such as tax records, medical records, names, addresses, social security numbers, telephone numbers, or email addresses. Understanding of the importance of data privacy and security is critical.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience utilizing computer programs and software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) for data entry, report production, and document creation. Familiarity with spreadsheet functions, formatting, and basic formulas is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum requirements, well-qualified candidates will bring experience in the following:

  • Document Capture/Processing Software: Experience or formal training in document capture or processing software platforms such as IBM Intelligent Forms Processing (IFP), Kofax Capture, OnBase, or comparable enterprise tools. Familiarity with optical character recognition (OCR) and automated data extraction technologies is a strong plus.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, conditional formatting, data validation, and macros.
  • Production Environment Experience: Prior experience working in a high-volume, production-oriented data entry environment where speed and accuracy are both measured and rewarded.
  • Attention to Detail: A demonstrated ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and patterns in large datasets, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Beyond technical qualifications, the ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional Accuracy: A natural commitment to producing error-free work, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to catch even the smallest discrepancies.
  • Speed and Efficiency: The ability to type quickly and accurately, with a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute and a drive to continuously improve productivity.
  • Focus and Concentration: The capacity to sit for extended periods while reviewing and keying onscreen data, maintaining high levels of concentration and focus throughout the workday.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Comparison Skills: Excellent skills in comparing and contrasting data points, identifying matching and non-matching information, and ensuring consistency across records.
  • Communication: Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to escalate issues, ask questions, and collaborate effectively with remote team members.
  • Self-Motivation: A self-starter mentality with the discipline to work independently from a remote location, stay productive without close supervision, and take initiative when needed.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfort with learning new software systems and adapting to evolving technology platforms and tools.
